Health again

Yesterday I had an attack of subacute obstruction - probably cause by a bowl of tomato soup and two slices of bread. I increased my steroids and used a hot water bottle and by the morning it had settled. Today I have been on clear liquids. It does seem as though I shall have to have some more treatment soon.

Really hope you can keep away from more aggressive treatment for a while longer. Is it too simplistic to ask if a nutritionist has given you any advice to avoid the obstruction? I had to change my diet completely while on chemo and reintroduced different foods gradually. Even now I can't tolerate animal fats, bread and excessively acid fruits/foods. It's much harder for you with an abdominal cancer and treatment with such undesired effects - but I hope you can find a more gentle way forward.

If you go the clinical trial route previously mentioned, I hope it give you a longer time of feeling well. I sat beside a women with your diagnosis in the infusion room who was on her way to MDA to talk about a clinical trial. Perhaps they are using the same drugs. She didn't know the particulars, but seemed upbeat about it. We are all stressed to hear of your struggle with this disease and are keeping our fingers crossed. You are in my prayers.
