But the fruit of the Spirit is ...patience...
I used to be an impatient driver. I would take silly risks to be two places nearer the head of the line. Since I retired I have lost all that and I smile at the boy-racers who make obscene signs at me as they hurry past. What convinced me of the folly of it was when my daughter returned to Oxford having left her keys behind. I chased after her leaving 5 minutes behind her. I found that after driving as fast as I could on the 80 minute journey, I was still 5 minutes behind her at Oxford.
The Holy Spirit takes the long view and so should we. I know patience is difficult. That's why we need the Holy Spirit.
