I have been pretty ill all week. The fall I had last week really knocked the stuffing out of me and left me with lots of bruises. I have spent the week mostly lying still and sleeping, but there are signs of improvement. The bruises are changing color and the swelling has been going down. Part of the problem is that I am fully anticoagulated and I have been bleeding from the LMW heparin injection sites.
I lost 7 pounds in weight, but I have regained 5 of them. The breathlessness is less but still a problem on climbing stairs.
I restart chemotherapy on Tuesday week.
Sorry to hear about your rough week but glad to hear you are improving.Rest up and heal and try to stay out of the garden!
ReplyDeleteThoughts and Prayers,
Debbie
I will be thinking of you and praying for the best possible results with regard to your health.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about these new health problems. I'd wondered if something was wrong, when you didn't write much on your blog all week. May God bless and keep you in His peace.
ReplyDeleteDear Terry
ReplyDeleteI feel sad to learn of your suffering due to illness. I long for your recovery to maximum, sustained, physical well-being and I remain very hopeful and expectant of such a reality in the future. The path is arduous nonetheless. I hope you too visualise your return to good health and the many happy times ahead, once the trauma of agressive treatment and all the discomfort it brings with it ends.
Much love
Hope you feel better, Doc. In the meantime, this may interest you if you haven't already seen it.I think it is the death knell for global warming movement:

Terry,
ReplyDeleteSince you did not quite qualify for the Clinical Trial mentioned in an earlier blog, How do you judge the risk vs reward of your options? Can you plan to get on the Trial if it is still open?
May Your path be well chosen but know that you are in the thoughts of many.

Take care Dr. Terry. I'm praying for you.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I plan to get on to the trial when the chemo is no longer working.
