We are often intimidated by the evangelistic task before us. The Samaritans must have seemed and infertile ground for evangelism to Jesus' disciples, but if the message is right the crowds will come. The message is always right if we tell people that Jesus loves them and died to save them.
If you build it he will come. This was the message of the Kevin Costner baseball movie "Field of Dreams" and it is the message of evangelism. If we build our outreach the converts will come. This is the promise of teh Holy Spirit whose responsibility it is to convert them.
