The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
Pilate said, "What is truth?" and today post-modernists recognize all sorts of alternative truths as if there were no absolutes. Such an approach to truth is mere nonsense and wishful thinking. It's like facing an approaching tsunami and wishing it wasn't there.
We no longer need be in darkness. Men love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. When the true light comes there is nowhere to hide.
