I am struck when reading your piece on MDS, how fortunate I am, as a patient with a hematological malignancy, that your blog is accessible to me as well as to medical professionals. Thank you so much.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19490962.post-9171283301901746142010-09-22T17:49:04.847+01:002010-09-22T17:49:04.847+01:00Terry,

I am lecturing for CME with David Steensma and others to primary care providers on anemia in the elderly and the importance of MDS in the differential diagnosis. Most PCPS send anemic patients to GI to scope for occult bleeding and that is the end of the work-up. More can and should be done and I am hoping to help spread the word.

Bless you for working on diseases that were not as exciting as some, but have subsequently proven to be of enormous clinical import.

The live lectures are all in the USA, but I will send you a link to our webcast for primary care when it's uploaded.

BrianBrian Koffmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13250684684103918493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19490962.post-30477129509994691552010-09-22T15:59:08.106+01:002010-09-22T15:59:08.106+01:00Terry first and foremost, please, keep being stron...Terry first and foremost, please, keep being strong. It's incredible you still shed scientific light in our eyes, this just highlights your inner strength besides haem knowledge. I wish I've still been in the UK to pay a visit, but I'll keep being with you from 2.500 miles away, Greece. That's the least I can do.
GeorgeUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10256468223499864959noreply@blogger.com
