I thought the reason to reduce the tumor burden was to ameliorate the tumor lysis situation you mentioned.

I have damaged kidneys anyway and this concerned me.

Now you've answered a question I was wondering about.

I've never seen anything definitive published by Dr. Taylor. The results of that study will be of interest to all CLLers whether it is effective or not.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19490962.post-37896683010396687642008-09-07T20:21:00.000+01:002008-09-07T20:21:00.000+01:00What you say seems to suggest that rituximab would...What you say seems to suggest that rituximab would be effective for CLL in the blood, nodes, spleen, and bone marrowBrian Koffmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13250684684103918493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19490962.post-42652626406696190042008-09-07T14:06:00.000+01:002008-09-07T14:06:00.000+01:00For what it's worth, the first time that i receive...For what it's worth, the first time that i received rituximab the dose was split in half and given slowly over two successive days without incident. Subsequently, the full dose was given (weekly) in less time without incident.

This, of course, mirrors the information/advice that you have just given. On various forums one reads of varied reactions to the infusions and I'm sure that there are individual variations in response, but I wonder if such a "slower' approach shouldn't be more widely adopted.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
